Coop Carbone offers you the opportunity to purchase emission units, the equivalent of one Quebec government permit to emit 1 tonne of CO2e, which would normally have been purchased by large industrial emitters and fuel distributors. By offsetting your emissions with Coop Carbone, you are directly taking away their rights to emit GHGs into the atmosphere, forcing them to reduce their emissions or invest in other carbon reduction initiatives. For more details, please visit the Offset my GHGs page.
